Penn State Brandywine has a rich history of engaging undergraduate students in a range of inquiry-based experiences, whether those experiences are carried out on campus or in the community, are individual or group-based, etc. Our students not only work with faculty mentors in developing content knowledge and skill sets appropriate to their discipline, but our students have the opportunity to present the results of their work in our campus-based undergraduate research symposium EURECA or present the results at local-to-international conferences. Some students also collaborate with faculty to publish their research and discovery findings.  Several of our students have been recognized with campus awards and awards from outside organizations for their excellence in undergraduate research.

Undergraduate researchers can be found across all of our academic buildings on campus and across the arts and humanities, social sciences, and sciences and engineering. Undergraduate research is open and available to the larger student population, not just to seniors or to the top students. Penn State Brandywine believes firmly in the transformative impact an undergraduate research experience can have on a student and is proud to be an Institutional Member of the Council on Undergraduate Research, a national organization whose mission of the Council on Undergraduate Research is to support and promote high-quality undergraduate student-faculty collaborative research and scholarship.
