An inquiry or investigation conducted by an undergraduate student with a faculty mentor that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to the discipline.
defined by the Council on Undergraduate Research
Penn State Brandywine has a rich history of engaging undergraduate students in a range of inquiry-based experiences, whether those experiences are carried out on campus or in the community, are individual or group-based, etc. Our students not only work with faculty mentors in developing content knowledge and skill sets appropriate to their discipline, but our students have the opportunity to present the results of their work in our campus-based undergraduate research symposium EURECA or present the results at local-to-international conferences. Some students also collaborate with faculty to publish their research and discovery findings. Several of our students have been recognized with campus awards and awards from outside organizations for their excellence in undergraduate research.
